Tim Smiley is an award-winning design director based in London. His career started after winning a student D&AD yellow pencil for TV graphics while at Chelsea College of Art and Design. This led him to work as a designer for Sky, the UK's biggest satellite television company. After learning his trade working within Sky Creative he joined established channel branding company English & Pockett, working on various high profile branding projects including branding MTV Arabia, The Biography Channel, and BBC World Wide. He then went on to become head of design at Jellyfish Pictures, with clients such as Vodafone, BBC, The Discovery Channel, NatGeo and Five. Tim is currently a freelance designer in London. Film, television, music and art are big influences on his work. He is always keen to exercise his creativity with personal self initiated projects. He has also taught part time at the MA course for motion graphics at Chelsea College of Art and Design.
